It’s been quiet on this blog. It has not been quiet here at TaskFire. We’ve been shipping steadily since the summer, working through the things you wrote in about, and this release is the one we’ve been building toward.
TaskFire 12.0 is out today, and it works with Siri AI, the new Siri in iOS 27.
If you’re new here, TaskFire is a to-do list app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and everything syncs, so your lists are on the web too.
Here’s what that means. You’re driving home, three things land on you at once, and instead of losing one of them by the time you park, you say:
“Hey Siri, in TaskFire, I need to call the dentist tomorrow at 3, pick up the dry cleaning Friday, and book the flight on Thursday”
Three tasks. Three due dates. In your list before you’ve turned off the engine.
Say it how you’d say it to a person, and give it a real day and time rather than “tonight” or “Saturday morning.” The date, the time, the list, the tag, and the note all land where they belong.
A few others to try on the first day:
“Hey Siri, add take out the recycling every Tuesday to my Home list in TaskFire”
“Hey Siri, what’s on my Work list in TaskFire?”
Siri reads it back to you.
Someone texts you “can you bring dessert Saturday?” You don’t have to retype it, screenshot it, or trust yourself to remember it. Look at the message and say:
“Hey Siri, add this to TaskFire”
Siri reads what’s on your screen and writes the task from it. It works the same way on an email, a note, or a web page, and on a web page it saves the link in the task so you can get back to it.
Your TaskFire tasks also turn up in Spotlight now. Swipe down on your home screen, type part of a task name, and there it is alongside everything else on your iPhone.
Apple is still building out Siri AI, and we’re building right alongside them. As they open more of it up, we’ll add it, so expect this to keep growing.
How to get Siri AI on your iPhone
Update to TaskFire 12.0 in the App Store. Siri AI is free for everyone while it’s new, and it becomes part of TaskFire Premium later on. We’ll tell you before that happens. Siri AI itself needs iOS 27 on an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, and you turn it on in Settings > Siri > Try Siri AI (Beta). Apple runs a waitlist, so it can take a few minutes or a few days to arrive.
If your iPhone isn’t one of those, TaskFire still works with the Siri you have, the same as always. Start with “In TaskFire” and go.

Questions people are asking
Does TaskFire work with Siri AI?
Yes, from TaskFire 12.0 onward. You can add tasks, set dates and times, choose a list, star, tag, add a note, set a repeat, ask what’s on a list, make a new list, and delete a task, all by voice.
Which iPhones can use Siri AI?
Apple requires iOS 27 on an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, and you opt in through Settings > Siri > Try Siri AI (Beta). There’s a waitlist, so access can take a few minutes or a few days.
Do I have to say “TaskFire” every time?
Yes, say “in TaskFire” at the start or the end of your sentence. Without it, Siri sends the task to Apple Reminders instead.
Can Siri mark a task complete in TaskFire?
Not yet. Apple hasn’t opened that part of Siri AI up to apps, and we’re working with them on it. In the meantime two things do work: the Shortcuts app, and the classic Siri.
What else can’t I do by voice yet?
Location reminders, checklists, and projects can’t be set up by voice, and vague times like “tonight” or “Saturday morning” won’t become a due date. Say a real time or a day instead.
Do I need TaskFire Premium for this?
Not right now. Siri AI is free for everyone while it’s new, and if you’re new to TaskFire it’s included in your free Premium trial. It becomes a Premium feature later on, and we’ll tell you in the app and by email before that happens. Anything you’ve already added by voice stays where it is.
Does TaskFire still work with the older Siri?
Yes, and nothing about it changed. Start your sentence with “In TaskFire” and it works the way it always has.
